What We Uncovered

Brand architecture for regional expansion

As NSEnergy acquired Solahart Coffs Harbour, the brand challenge evolved.

Originally trading as Namoi Sustainable Energy in Tamworth, the name carried strong local equity in the Namoi region. However, it had little relevance in Coffs Harbour. Expansion exposed the limitations of a region-specific name.

At the same time, Solarhart remained a vital product partner, and that relationship needed to be respected and strengthened — not replaced.

Through strategic brand development and positioning workshops, we clarified:

  • NSEnergy would become the masterbrand
  • Solahart would sit as an authorised partner within the brand structure
  • Tamworth and Coffs Harbour would operate as regional expressions under NS Energy Group
  • The brand needed to scale beyond one location

Namoi Sustainable Energy was retired, and NSEnergy Group was established as the overarching identity.

This provided flexibility for future growth, acquisitions and product diversification.

What We Created

A brand positioned on nurture, sustain and empower

Brand strategy for NSEnergy Group focused on more than geography.

We helped define three core values that now anchor the organisation:

Nurture. Sustain. Empower.

These values guide how the business operates:

  • Nurturing relationships with customers and partners
  • Sustaining a responsible and long-term business model
  • Empowering communities, staff and customers through energy independence

This positioning differentiates NSEnergy beyond “local solar installer.” It establishes them as a values-driven regional energy company.

Importantly, the brand architecture allows flexibility:

  • Residential customers engage with a trusted local NSEnergy presence
  • Commercial clients see the strength and scale of NSEnergy Group

This balance enables them to compete effectively in both residential and commercial solar markets across regional NSW.

Website Evolution & Implementation

From foundation to future growth

KEO originally developed the NSEnergy website more than 10 years ago. That platform has supported consistent growth, demonstrating the long-term value of strategic brand and digital foundations.

The current phase involves a comprehensive website redevelopment to support:

  • Multi-location brand positioning
  • Increased visibility of NS Energy in Coffs Harbour
  • Recruitment and team growth
  • Clear articulation of values and community focus
  • Long-term SEO strength in both regions

The aim is not to diminish Solahart’s reputation, but to elevate NSEnergy’s presence within each local community while maintaining authorised partnership credibility.

The website strategy balances:

  • Strong historical SEO performance in Tamworth
  • Expansion into Coffs Harbour
  • Clear messaging around community, service and expertise
  • Commercial capability under the NSEnergy Group banner

Implementation is currently underway.

The Outcome

From local operator to regional energy brand

NSEnergy Group now has a clear brand architecture capable of supporting:

  • Multiple locations
  • Diverse energy products
  • Commercial and residential markets
  • Future acquisitions

The business has moved from a single-region operator to a scalable regional energy brand.

This case study demonstrates the importance of:

  • Strategic brand architecture
  • Respectful co-branding with national product partners
  • Long-term brand and website investment
  • Regional expansion planning through brand clarity

For KEO, NSEnergy represents a decade-long partnership built on trust, strategic thinking and sustainable growth.
